Behind the scenes, Avicii battled serious health struggles for much of his career, stepping back from touring in 2016 to focus on studio work and his wellbeing. He passed away in 2018 at just 28, a loss that was felt deeply across the music world. His influence on modern dance music, and the openness he brought to conversations around the pressures facing touring artists, remain part of his lasting legacy.
